シェイクスピア・ソネット鑑賞短歌31: Tanka for Sonnet 31

中湖 康太

31
友たちの 愛が君にぞ 捧げられ
その愛映す 君こそ全て
Thy bosom is endeared with all hearts,
Thou art the grave where buried love doth live,
Their images I loved I view in thee,
And thou, all they, hast all the all of me.

Thy bosom is endeared with all hearts,
Which I by lacking have supposed dead;
And there reigns love, and all love’s loving parts.
And all those friends which I thought buried.
How many a holy and obsequious tear
Hath dear religious love stoln from mine eye,
As interest of the dead, which now appear
But things removed, that hidden in thee lie!
Thou art the grave where buried love doth live,
Hung with the trophies of my lovers gone
Who all their parts of me to thee did give;
That due of many now is thine alone:
Their images I loved I view in thee,
And thou, all they, hast all the all of me.

キーワード訳注
Thy bosom (胸; 胸中) is endeared (慕われる) with all hearts,
Which I by lacking have supposed dead;
And there reigns love, and all love’s loving parts.
And all those friends which I thought buried.
How many a holy and obsequious (こびへつらう; 追従的な) tear
Hath (=has) dear religious love stoln (=stolen) from mine eye,
As interest of the dead, which now appear
But things removed, that hidden in thee (=you) lie!
Thou art (=You are) the grave where buried love doth (=does) live,
Hung with the trophies of my lovers gone
Who all their parts of me to thee did give;
That due of many now is thine alone:
Their images I loved I view in thee,
And thou, all they, hast (=have; [古] haveの2 人称単数直説法現在形; thouを主語にした時に用いる) all the all of me.
