月立ちて ただ三日月(ﾐｶﾂﾞｷ)の 眉根(ﾏﾖﾈ)掻(ｶ)き* 日(ｹ)長く恋ひし 君に逢へるかも
As the moon rises, I scratch my eyebrow* like the crescent moon.
I wonder if I could see him for long I have been in love with soon.
同じく、坂上郎女の初月の歌一首

(現代語訳)
月が現れて、ちょうど三日月のような眉(ﾏﾕ)を掻きつつ*、日々長く慕ってきたあなたに逢えるかもしれない。
